Tony Hickle - Morristown Fish Hatchery

Tony is a native of Jefferson County, Tennessee and has been employed with the TWRA since 1980. Tony graduated from Jefferson County High School in 1985 then attended vocational school in the field of welding and fabrication. He has also taken classes at Walters State Community College in Morristown. Tony is active in the Mill Springs Baptist Church where he serves as a deacon. He raises beef cattle and maintains more than 300 acres of hay in his spare time.
Tony has worked in several positions for the TWRA. He began as a creel clerk on Douglas and Cherokee Reservoirs then transferred to the reservoir data collection unit in 1990. He then worked 6 years at the Buffalo Springs Trout Hatchery before transferring back to the Douglas Creel Clerk position in 1998. Tony was promoted to a Wildlife Technician II in 2000 where he remains today.
During the spring and summer, he works at the Morristown Fish Hatchery raising various warm water fish species. In the fall and winter, he works with black bears for TWRA's lands management. Tony also works deer checking stations and assists landowners with small game projects and planting warm season grasses.
