Mike "Stump" Smith - Eagle Bend Fish Hatchery Manager

Mike received his Masters of Science degree in Biology from the Tennessee Technological University in 1976 and was hired by the TWRA the same year. His first position with the TWRA was as an Assistant Biologist in reservoir data collection. He was soon promoted to a Manager I within the same work unit.
Mike became a Wildlife Officer in 1977 and worked in Hancock and Claiborne Counties for the next 5 years. He has held a Manager II position at the Eagle Bend Fish Hatchery in Clinton since 1982. "Stump" supervises the operation of the hatchery and produces a variety of fish species for reservoirs, streams, and farm ponds.
